Notaries are among the most highly compensated professionals in the USF community.
For example, notaries make more than $1.5 million annually, according to a survey by the National Association of Public Accountants.
Notaries also have been known to make more money than doctors, accountants, and other professionals, but the pay disparity between the professions is so wide that it can be hard to tell the difference.
A notary’s salary varies from institution to institution, but it typically averages about $160,000 annually, and the average notary fee is $10,000.

USF offers more than 20 different notary services.
If you’re looking for a way to make extra cash, it’s important to choose the right notary service, said Mark R. Borenstein, USF’s chief notary officer.
USFs staff members are trained to make accurate, accurate, and reliable notarial statements, and USF also offers notary schools.
The university also has its own notary academy, which is the most expensive program in the United States.
“It costs about $20,000 a year,” Borenbaum said.
“That’s not to mention the expense of paying for an attorney, a secretary, a treasurer, a compliance officer, a law clerk, a tax lawyer, and a public defender.
These people have to be there.”
Borenbeck said notaries need not only a good understanding of how the US government works but also a good deal of education.
Notary schools can be pricey, but students can earn good money for their education.
“They don’t have to go to a private school,” Borebeck said.
Notarial schools are also more popular among younger people.
“People are looking for an alternative to a traditional notarial job,” Berenbaum said, “and notaries have been a great alternative.”
Berenbeck also noted that notaries can be used to avoid costly penalties that the IRS imposes on non-compliant notaries.
In 2018, for example, the IRS imposed a $1,000 fine on a Georgia notary who was found to have improperly billed the federal government for services rendered.
According to the USFS website, notary school fees range from $5 to $15 an hour.

USFS’s Notaries Association does not make recommendations for individuals to join the association, but Borenbee said the association is a good source of information for notaries on how to find a notarial school.
Berenberg also said that if you have questions about USFs notary program, you can reach out to the association directly.
“The notaries are very professional,” he said.
